Ecomum is a home-based business located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. In addition to offering environmentally sustainable products for the entire family, for the past two decades it has also been a manufacturer and retailer of midwifery weigh slings—serving both retail clients around the world and two Canadian medical supply companies.

All packaging and labels are made from post-consumer recycled materials or sewing off-cuts for a softer footprint! Products include organic cotton or hemp baby clothing, reusable household linens, and menstrual products.

Inspired by the work of fellow alumnus Dr. Orbinski through his book An Imperfect Offering, for over a decade Ecomum has been donating a portion of all sales to Doctors Without Borders and the local Crossroads Women’s Shelter, as well as other community-supporting charities.
